GAZA WAR DIARY: 28 JULY 2024

Today is a day of mourning in Israel as the unthinkable burial of 12 Druze children and teenagers takes place among thousands of mourners. We are devastated. These are our people, whose sons and fathers fight bravely in the IDF to protect us all. The barbarism of Hezbollah targeting a soccer field and playground they know will be filled with children is further testimony – not that we need it – that their respect for human life, even of their own Arab brothers and sisters, is nonexistent. Their hatred and carelessness is unforgivable. All of them must be treated as death-worthy enemies.

Israel has joined together to help strengthen the Madjal Shams community. A crowd funding group raised over 350,000 NIS within hours, and Microsoft Israel employees and management donated another 250,000 NIS to the families of the victims. Thirty-nine victims have been released from Israeli hospitals, while an additional 20 remain hospitalized. I pray for the families of the victims, and for the speedy recovery of the wounded.

Even as Israelis gather together to mourn and support the Druze community, the Iran-led terrorists responsible, like their cowardly brethren in Hamas, are doing all they can to deny responsibility, from outright lying about any involvement, to attempting to shift blame to Israel. Syrian Foreign Minister called the disaster the result of shrapnel from the Iron Dome. This, you will not be surprised to learn, is an outright lie, easily verifiable by the evidence left behind which can be shown clearly to be an Iranian missile. Israel has even published the name of the Hezbollah commander responsible for aiming this rocket at the children: Mohammed Yahya, commander of the launch complex in the Sheba area of Lebanon.

There is hysteria in Lebanon as they await a weighty Israeli response. Those who can, are leaving the country. Norway – of all places – is urging its people to do so, although how many Norwegians are in Lebanon? Israel is also on high alert, the University of Haifa, for example, is asking workers to evacuate all floors above number 5. I am twenty minutes away from the University of Haifa.

I am not concerned. Whatever damage comes our way, it is vital that we finally teach Hezbollah a lesson of deterrence. That Iranian rocket could have very well fallen into a school in any Israeli city, with hundreds of causalities, God forbid. The time to do this, is now.

Of course, everyone and his uncle is urging “restraint.” If only they urged the same restraint on our enemies! Donald Trump is correct when he said: “Today’s attack on Israel cannot be forgotten. It will go down as another moment in history created by a weak and ineffective United States President and Vice President. With time, this situation will only get worse for our country. We must galvanize the Republican Party, Democrats, Independents, Conservatives, Progressives, Libertarians and everybody else to put strength, respect and power back into the U.S.A.”

This is vitally necessary when evil in the world is on the rise, its personification in the words of Nassar Kanaani, spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry: “We warn against a new Zionist plot against Lebanon under the pretext of responding to the incident in Majdal Shams…The racist Zionist entity is trying to disrupt world public opinion in order to justify its crimes in Palestine through a false and fake scenario.”

What here is fake? The dead children are real. The graves are real. The Iranian bomb that put them there is also real. So hard to continue to behave in a civilized manner when the enemy is a Nazi savage. Every time a jihadi opens his mouth, I see Eichmann sitting in his glass booth, his hands calmly folded in his lap, talking about how nothing was his fault.

It’s like that moment in the Godfather when we know Michael Corleone is a murderer because we’ve seen him shoot countless people. But still, we are shocked when his wife asks him if he was involved, and he outright lies to her. It’s the outright lies that somehow are the hardest to deal with. It’s like roaches scurrying away when you find them, trying to hide. The Nazis always had reasons why mass murder was necessary and justifiable. And when they couldn’t talk their way out of it, they simply denied it ever happened. These people are working from the same playbook.

So at this point, all of Israel is an inheld breath. The summer continues. We will still be going to the beach. But the knowledge that we are on the brink of a savage, all-out war that will put all of our lives in danger fills air we breathe.

I would like to emphasize, I have faith that our government and our army will protect us. I have faith that our God, Who knows all and sees all, is here with us. They can lie all they want. It won’t help them.

Lebanon and the Lebanese people are not innocent bystanders. In the decades since the UN resolution was passed that Hezbollah forces withdraw behind the Litani River, Lebanon has made zero effort to see this happens. They are cowardly, weak, irresolute. And now they must all pay the price, as we in Israel are all paying the price. There is no Lebanon. Only Hezbollah. And whose fault is that?

When you allow your enemies to invade and control your policies, take away your sovereignty and freedoms, without fighting back, it’s called surrender. Europe would do well to keep this in mind as the lights go out in Paris, and the trains stop running, not to mention the disgusting display of perversions on display in guise of an opening Olympics ceremony. Perhaps they think backing woke perversions is a way of countering Islamic fundamentalism. It isn’t. It is the way you show your citizens that their native culture has already been destroyed and they have nothing better on offer than the jihadis who will soon be their masters.

So very sad for ongoing attacks and sorrow of the Peoples of Israel. I had a Tel Aviv Station on T.V., broadcasting in Hebrew ( English subtitles which are not that understandable) but Iike it anyway. After grocery shopping 2 very busy places, briefly nodded off, to be awoke by screams. Opening my eyes I saw adults running toward the playground. Everyday the cowards in Lebanon are so happy about their latest destruction, but NO, they didn’t do that. Saw the Commander from IDF identify the Iranian made warhead and the fact it came from Lebanon. Just like HAMAS, who filmed and left behind all their filthy evidence of crimes against women but deny that part even happened. We know better. I’m glad to know Israel’is have generously responded to help their Druze citizens. I remember them showing up with wagons of food for the Kibbutzim in S. Israel and sewing for the IDF in preparation for impending operations in Gaza. Prayers as always.

Years ago, the question in Israel was which Arab country will be the first to make peace with Israel.
Everybody agreed that Lebanon will be the second.
After all Lebanon had nothing to lose and everything to gain.
    Boy were we wrong.

Saw almost the whole opening and found it splendid (sound, music and show). No, I didn’t see the drag queens, but they are invited to amuse little kids in some schools, which I think is way worse.
Wokeism isn’t dead yet unfortunately. It’s been ‘church and state’ for over a century in France, luckily.
Celine Dion was a real pleasure with her wonderful voice towards the end in a splendid dress and back on track.
May the best win and lots of medals for Israel.

What people fail to recognise is the imeptitude of the UNTSO/UNFIL to enforce Resolution 1701 of 7 August 2006. See https://unifil.unmissions.org/ for details of what they are supposed to be doing and then realise that as of 01 July 2024, UNIFIL’s force consists of a total 10,031 peacekeepers from 49 troop-contributing countries including 418 Chinese, 1232 Indonisia, 677 French and 901 Indians.
The HQ of UNTSO is located in Government House Jerusalem – אַרְמוֹן הַנְּצִיב in Talpiot – what is it doing in Jerusalem when it should be at the line with Lebanon.
The presence of the UN in Jerusalem is illegal see https://www.jns.org/the-uns-illegal-occupation-of-jerusalem/ , but all Israeli governments since 1967 have been afraid to kick them out – one wonders what self respect and dignity exists within the government!

If G-d forbid Israel accidentally bombed a playground area , no doubt it would be first page news . Let us see how the “Pravdas” of the USA”( NYT, WP etc ) address it.

Yes to everything you wrote Naomi! Gaza, Lebanon and others have allowed Jihadist’s to take over their country…and their culture. Today Biden is “concerned” about an all out war as he withholds weapons, allows flag-burning, brainwashed fools to deface monuments, disrupt life, and terrorize Jewish people. His administration is weak. Kamala is worse as shown in her remarks after meeting with Netanyahu: cease fire?? 2 State solution ?? She has already shown, in spite of her token, weakling Jewish husband, that she does not care about Israel. That she is kowtowing/pandering for the Muslim vote. I pray for Trump to win so he can restart and grow the Abraham Accords. And to my “liberal” fellow Jewish Americans, how on earth can you possibly consider for one minute voting for Kamala?
