ISRAEL WAR DIARY: 17 AUGUST 2025

In many ways, the war we are now involved with is a Holocaust replay, except that now the Jews are armed and dangerous, not helpless victims. This is because they are no longer just Jews, oppressed, barely tolerated outcasts from mainstream Christian or Muslim societies, they are proud Zionists in their own country. This is the fundamental, underlying cause of the cult of hatred now engulfing the entire world against Zionism. They long for the days when the Jews were easy victims.

I use the word cult deliberately. Because no amount of information, facts, photos, reasonable discourse will budge the Israel-haters. Despite the well-documented piles of food literally flooding Gaza, we still have people like Keir Starmer talking about a “catastrophic failure of aid; we see starving babies, children too weak to stand: images that will stay with us for a lifetime,” and his Foreign Minister, that total ignoramus Lammy, keening about how Israel was allowing into Gaza only a “drip-feed” of food.

As Melanie Phillips points out: No wonder senior Hamas official Razi Hamad has exulted: “The initiative of several countries to recognise a Palestinian state is one of the fruits of October 7. We have proven that victory over Israel is not impossible, and our weapon is a symbol of Palestinian honour.”

Yes, Starmer is honoring the perpetrators of October 7 using the fake AI images of starving Gazan children held in the well-fed arms of their fat parents to excuse his vile antisemitism. But he is wrong that those images will stay with us. For the sane amongst us, the Hamas-released image of starving hostage Evyatar David being made to dig his own grave with its echoes of the Holocaust will be the one we remember as Hamas taunts us with our helplessness.

They are deluded. We are not helpless, as the IDF’s major push into Gaza City, their last stronghold, will soon prove. But there are vulnerable Israelis that are breaking under this horrific propoganda, fueling what I like to call the disgraceful “surrender” parade of the Left.

During the Intifada Kenneth Levin produced his remarkable book: “The Oslo Syndrom: Delusions of a People Under Siege,” detailing with startling accuracy how Israelis were falling for the ridiculous propaganda of land for peace with terrorist Arafat. Some Israelis, who want so shed the unbearable “disgrace” of being Jewish, are out there in our streets today burning tires, disrupting traffic. Their plan is to close down the country until Israel surrenders to Hamas.

Since the Histadrut Labor Union, in a rare show of sanity, refused to particpate, the organizers tried in vain to talk us into joining voluntarily in order to bring our country to a standstill — a feat not accomplished even by Iranian rocket fire. Their fig leaf for this disgraceful performance is “saving the hostages,” when, in trurh, they are only burying them deeper as Hamas relishes their show, hardening their positions as Israelis do their work for them. As the father of Evyatar said, “it’s not for the hostages, it’s to bring down Netanyahu.”

Exactly. Our enemies do not have a monopoly on mindless cults.

So far, Netanyahu is standing strong: “We will agree to a deal on the condition that all of the remaining hostages be released at once, and according to our terms for ending the war, meaning the disarmament of Hamas, demilitarization of the Gaza Strip, Israeli security control over the territory, and bringing in a governing authority that is neither Hamas nor the Palestinian Authority.”

It’s so easy to blame Israel for the stand-still on hostage negotiations. After all, all you have to do is turn off your brain and adopt anti-Israel propaganda. Delusions of a people under siege indeed.

Meanwhile, the IDF is preparing to conquer Gaza City, where it is believed our hostages are being held. Large scale military might will be brought to bear on these terrorist enclaves which will cease to be under Hamas control. It is the only way. The timetable says by October 7, Hamas will be no more. Amen.

Putting an end to Palestinian – and European – delusions of the creation of a terrorist Palestinian state, the Israeli government has approved a plan to build between Jerusalem and Ma’ale Adumim, land that their Palestinian State needs to exist. This is something Israel has been afraid to do for twenty years! But now, with American backing, and the revelation of true Palestinian aspirations, Israel is taking the necessary steps to make sure this never happens. Abu Ali: “Palestinian channels report that Israel has distributed demolition and evacuation orders for 40 structures in the village of Al-Eizariya (between Jerusalem and Ma’ale Adumim), which, according to them, is a preparatory stage for the Israeli plan to create a territorial continuity between Jerusalem and Ma’ale Adumim (the construction in the E1 area announced by Minister Smotrich).

Despite being 2,000 miles away, the IDF confirms it has attacked and destroyed an energy facility used by the Iran-backed Houthi regime Houthis, who live their lives chewing the psychedelic ghat plant which means they are all permanently out of their minds, are claiming Israel struck water facilities.

Is there going to be a civil war in Lebanon? The Lebanese government seems to be seizing the opportunity it has been given by Israeli forces to take back its country from Iranian terror proxy Hezbollah. If you recall, the Lebanese parliament passed a law demanding Hezbollah relinquish its weapons. In response, Hezbollah mouthpiece Naim Qassem warned Hezbollah is ready for “another battle like Karbala against Israel and the US, no matter the cost.” He further claimed Lebanon’s government would bear responsibility for any “internal explosion” or civil war that might erupt.

In case you are wondering, the battle of Karbala was a historic battle in which Mohammed’s grandson led a small group against the Umayyad Dynasty. Although soundly beaten and martyred, Shia Islamists still consider it an historic victory!

The Lebanese aren’t taking this threat lightly: Former General Ashraf Rifi, issued the following response: “I warn you, ya Naim Qassem, of a reckless possibility for which you will pay the price. We will fight you in the streets if we are forced to defend ourselves – we have the capabilities to do so.”

All good. Let’s hope this “battle of Karbala” goes the way of the first one…

I can tell you that Starmer is HATED by a LOT of people in Britain. It isn’t a case of people saying, oh dear, this guy isn’t doing a very good job, we’ll have to think about who to vote for next time there’s a general election. Nothing like that. No, he is absolutely HATED.

There were some people who spoke out years ago about what would happen if the government opened the country’s borders and allowed Mohammedans in, but they were attacked, persecuted, imprisoned, ‘cancelled.’

Now that it *has* happened, a lot of people are beginning to understand that those watchmen on the wall were quite correct. There is a lot of unrest in the country at the moment, and there is a lot of anger at the political class who have tried to destroy our country, by letting hundreds of thousands of Mohammedans in, then kowtowing to them and attacking and persecuting anyone who spoke out about what was happening.

There are interesting days ahead in the UK.

Not to mention the antisemitic antics
Of the Toronto International Film Festival Festival accepting and then rejecting an Israeli film. There was so much Jewish ire thankfully the film is back in and hopefully the CEO of TIFFwill be out. Israel needs to keep the course. I personally do not understand this Bibi hatred. This entire war he has maintained a difficult course to ensure the future safety of its citizens. I think left community just needs a place to project their infantile reactions Thank you for updates Naomi.

Smotrich and Ben-Gvir are super patriots and one day they will even serve in the army.
Talking about Patriots don’t forget to mention Netanyahu’s two sons.
One is a patriot in Miami, the other a patriot in London.

I read the very sad “Israel from the Inside” commentary by Daniel Gordis today and it made me cry. When I speak with my Israeli cousins, they say they are tired and demoralized – not just because of Israel’s standing in the world, but because of internal problems. They accuse the government of favoring the ultra-Orthodox by using tax proceeds from most Israelis to give money to the Haredi’s, some of whom are not even studying full time. They say the soldiers and reservists are tired and need back up from those who refuse to serve. I understand how the strike is hurting Israel more than helping those who are trying to make a point, but at some point, things within Israel need to change.

Exactly. So true. Smotrich, Ben Gvir are true patriots, good Jews. Not like the idiots in one Jewish NGO at the USA who donated this week $1 million to Gaza(Hamas)….. Imbeciles.

G-d bless DJT. Imagine if that moron Harris was president. We’d have another shmuck like Blinken as Secretary of State and Israel would be screwed.

  7. Elaine

Thank you! So good to read your email bc it expresses exactly how I feel. Instead of the media calling Smotrich a hardliner, he should be called a patriot.

I often wondered why the mothers of the starving children looked so good and healthy
