Is the war over? And if so, why is Hamas still there, heavily armed, murdering at will? Is this what we lost so many of o ur precious sons and daughters to achieve?
And is the American President getting it all wrong?
While we continue to rejoice in the unbelievable release of our hostages, watching them go home from the hospital to their families and celebrating communities all over Israel, there are so many worrisome question marks on what comes next.
For starters, not all the hostages on which the ceasefire was brokered have been released. I have heard President Trump admit he doesn’t understand why Israel is so adamant in recovering the bodies of the fallen. That’s because he isn’t Israeli and he isn’t a Jew. Every single one of the fallen is someone’s precious son, or brother or husband or boyfriend or father. The Jewish respect for the remains of the deceased is sacred, and no one can live in peace without bringing their loved one to a proper burial in a religious Jewish ceremony.
It is believed in Israel that Hamas knows exactly where the corpses are, but they don’t want to return them because they don’t want to have to move on to the next stage of the agreement, which is disarmament and expulsion. This is a delaying tactic and they are milking it for all its worth. Israel is behind the eight ball, finding itself agreeing to tactics like allowing Hamas to enter war zones on the pretext of “searching” for the bodies. Right.
More and more, as we hear about plans for who will administer Gaza at war’s end, the red flags are going up. Trump is suggesting we let Qatar – that chief Hamas supporter! send in soldiers! And Turkey’s little Hitler Erdogan send in Turkish troops! I even read that with Abu Mazen, that old terrorist nearing 90 and retiring, suggestions are being made that Israel release Marwan Barghouti, from jail to take his place!
Have they all taken leave of their senses completely? Barghouti, who was sentenced to five life terms and 40 years for the murder of Israelis, should have had a bullet through his head and not been captured alive. He was behind the worst terror attacks in Israel during the Intifada as head of the “Tanzim.” In every hostage agreement, even the weak -kneed Israel government refused to let Barghouti out. And now, after October 7, he is going to be allowed a leadership position? Am I living in an alternate universe? Over our dead bodies.
Hamas repeats again and again that “the war is over.” President Trump said so, Hamas tells us. So it’s over.
I don’t think so.
Minister of Defense Israel Katz:
“60% of Hamas tunnels in the Strip have not yet been destroyed.
Their destruction and the disarmament of Hamas are the most important strategic objectives for achieving victory in Gaza.”
How that is going to happen with Qatari soldiers, and Turkish soldiers in the way, and Trump breathing down our necks is hard to imagine. Trump has done wonderful things for Israel during the war, but he is naïve in the extreme about peace. He seems to make decisions about life and death alliances by how he ‘feels’ about people. He “likes” little Hitler Erdogan. Qatar is a “great friend” of his. And we are going to pay in blood for this stupidity in the end.
An Islamic Charity in Hebron was found with Hitler books.

It is a heartbreaking disappointment to Israelis that Americans do not recognize the right of the Jewish people to incorporate the heart of our Biblical homeland in Judea and Samaria. Even Maaleh Adumim near Jerusalem, and the Jordan Valley, which the vast majority of Israelis consider part of Israel, has been denied recognition. This is more than just a desire for greater Israel. These PLO-run areas are serpents’ nests of terrorist activities a stone’s throw from our heartland. In his desire for a fantasy “Middle East Peace” Trump is giving in to the Islamic extremists and trying to placate them at our expense. It will not end well.
Abu Ali: “The IDF eliminated another Hezbollah operative tonight (about an hour after midnight) in a motorcycle strike in the village of Kalila in southern Lebanon.
His name: Muhammad Akram Arabiya.
“It is evident that Israel is increasing the pressure on Lebanon over the past week through a rise in the number of assassinations in southern Lebanon, an increase in the scope of airstrikes by fighter jets, as well as an intensive presence of intelligence-gathering aircraft over the Lebanese capital.”
According to Lebanese sources, in the coming days the American envoy Morgan Ortagus is expected to arrive in Lebanon.”
Perhaps there we’ll have more leeway.
