It doesn’t feel like a week has passed since last I wrote you. It feels like a lifetime. So much has happened. We have seen hostages released from the horror of their captivity, and we have plumbed the depths of despair at the coffins of the tiniest murder victims and their mother – the red-headed Bibas family who became symbols of Hamas barbarity and Israel’s tortured and ultimately unsuccessful attempts to save them.
I don’t know why, after all I have seen, I still expected that the news that little nine-month old Kfir and his three year-old brother Ariel had been strangled in cold blood, their bodies then horribly mutilated in the mistaken hope that it would mask this inhuman crime would shake the civilized world out of their lethargy. But even this savage bestiality brought no universal gasp of outrage from the so-called civilized world. Not a peep.
On the other hand, the impropriety of the Hamas ceremony, where the corpses of the children their mother, and the elderly man also killed in cold blood, were finally handed over elicited some kind of protest: “What we saw today in Gaza is a disgrace to Islam, an act of blasphemy against Allah, and a sin that does not represent the followers of the Prophet, peace be upon him, or the honorable religion of Islam,” said the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia.
The UN followed suit: “Under international law, any handover of the remains of deceased must comply with the prohibition of cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment, ensuring respect for the dignity of the deceased and their families,” said United Nations Human Rights Council head Volker Turk.
Please note, however, it was not the strangling of innocent babies or the murder of their mother which aroused their condemnation, but the lack of decorum in returning their corpses. Sick.
President Trump’s remark after seeing this was the most appropriate: “Wipe them out,” he said after watching the “innocent” Gazan onlookers who brought their children to cheer. It was a remark that had Al Jezeera, the Guardian, CNN, and the BBC clutching their pearls. Ha!
If last week I longed to see the entire population of Gaza deported, after what we’ve witnessed this week, only mass graves will bring these people what they have coming and save the world from their sick culture and dangerous obsessions.
I know, I know: some of them are “innocent.” Please, someone, tell me who? The ones that voted Hamas in? Who helped them build the tunnels? Who brought up their children to hate? Who came to cheer at the coffins of strangled Israeli babies?
The proof that these people have fallen to the 49th level of degradation and are irredeemable is this: Even during the Holocaust, there were a few Nazis who risked their lives to save Jews. But in Gaza, even after being offered huge amounts of money and free passage out of Gaza, not a single person, not one, came forward. Let that sink in. Not a single one.
This week I read a very interesting analysis by a Muslim of why faithful Muslims go around murdering people and feel no guilt only joy. He said that like in other religions, Muslims too are born with the feeling of living in sin. But unlike Christians who can go to Church and Jesus’ love will redeem them, and Jews who have a book of good deeds they must perform, Muslims can only be redeemed through jihad. So when they kill, they’ve avoided hell. Our deaths are their salvation. Of course they rejoice! As long as their ugly book and their even uglier prophet are their spiritual guides, they must be outcasts from the family of man.
Along with the shock of the terrible deaths of the Bibas family, is the equally heartbreaking release of the worst terrorist mass murderers into the general population. One of them was actually very close to me, in a horrific way. During the Passover Massacre at the Park Hotel, a Hamas terrorist blew himself up in the main dining room killing 29 and injuring many more. I was there with my husband, my sons, my daughter-in-law and my in-laws. But we had a private seder one flight up and so we escaped physically unharmed. A week after it happened, a reporter called me and said a second Hamas terrorist was supposed to blow himself up on our floor, but at the last minute, he had a terrible stomach ache and so wasn’t well enough to kill himself (or us)! That terrorist was also let go this week. Who knows what he will do now.
The only comfort I feel at all amidst all this, is that finally, finally Hamas has very stupidly put its real face on full display to the entire world. Now the world can’t say they didn’t know. Only that they knew, and didn’t care.
Given this situation, it is my sincere hope that now all Israelis, even the ones with BDS (Bibi Derangement Syndrome) will at last jump off the bandwagon of irrational hatred of our Prime Minister that has attached itself to the nobel cause of freeing the hostages, and finally join in with the rest of us in making our country’s top priority the defeat of these monsters that threaten us all—men, women, the elderly, the teenagers and even little babies and their mom.
There is no other way.
