I read a post on Facebook from a woman in Israel which I totally connected with. She wrote that there are two lives being lived, the life of the person facing physical annihilation and the murder of everyone she holds dear; and the person who has to shop for food, cook dinner, get the kids ready for day camp…
I don’t dwell on the apocalyptic scenario. I also went to my aerobics class this morning. It was full. Everyone is about the same age – grandparents and older. I asked a friend how she is doing. She said: “I can hardly breathe.” When I advised her not to think about things she can’t control, she said it’s not herself she’s worried about. She’s got so many family members on the front lines, in Gaza, in the North. It’s their well-being keeping her awake at night.
I absolutely understand. If my grandson was back in Gaza, I’d probably also not be able to breathe.
But sometimes, when you think you’ve got a handle on how to get through this, you read something that throws you for a loop. My friend and fellow blogger Daveed Shachar wrote in his blog today that he is using up the food in his refrigerator and freezer just in case the electricity goes out. I hadn’t even thought of that! My refrigerator is full. But I have one comfort. If the electricity does fail, I bought a solar cooker from Amazon so at least if things defrost, I can cook them! Aren’t we insane for worrying about this?
IDF Spokesperson: “A short while ago, the IAF conducted an intelligence-based strike on Hamas command and control centers inside of which Hamas terrorists were operating. The command centers were embedded in the areas of the ‘Abdelfattah Hamouda’ and ‘Al-Zahra’ schools in Daraj Tuffah. The school compounds were used by Hamas terrorists and commanders as command and control centers, from which they planned and carried out attacks against IDF troops and the State of Israel.
Prior to the strike, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including the use of precise munitions, surveillance, and additional intelligence.”
Gazans, who started this whole devil’s dance to begin with, are looking worse and worse. This morning they were asked to leave the area east of Khan Yunis and west of the Salah a Din axis. Videos of their evacuation through the apocalyptic landscape that is Gaza is an unbelievable sight.
Hamas really, really has no pity at all for their own people. I, their enemy, the person they keep trying to kill, can’t help but feel pity. I can’t understand why more human beings all over the world aren’t condemning Hamas for the horrible situation they have created. Believe me, it give us Israelis no joy to see this kind of human misery. Of course, the people suffering have only themselves to blame. But you’d think someone, somewhere, would say: “Enough. Force Hamas to release Israeli hostages and surrender to end the Gazans suffering.”
I’ve heard many things, mostly about an Israeli ceasefire and withdrawal, but not those two simple statements: release the hostages and surrender. I haven’t heard that from anyone. People are either brainwashed idiots or have no moral compass at all. Probably both.
Instead, you hear Western powers pressuring Israel to agree to all kinds of ridiculous concessions that would allow Hamas to survive and fight another day. Now they are using the “revenge” scenario to pressure us. Give in and they’ll “call off the revenge.”
Dear World. Do you think Israelis are that stupid? Not happening. That isn’t peace. It’s give them another chance to do this again. Which they will do if they survive. Would Churchill and Roosevelt have agreed to that kind of peace with Hitler and Mussolini? Islamic terrorists are the worst liars and barbarians. You can’t trust them, or make any agreement with them which involves taking away the guns in their faces.
The West needs to internalize this: there is only one scenario Israel will agree to: Unconditional surrender of both Hamas and Hezbollah. If you really want peace in the Middle East, that’s the ticket. I’m sure the leaders of the Western world realize this. They just don’t care. And when you look a little closer into who is running the “free world” today, it becomes very clear why.
Someone sent me this incredible video explaining who Kamala Harris is, where she comes from, who her parents were, and where the money came from that helped her to advance. It’s all connected: Obama, BLM, Communist China. I honestly felt I understood what we are facing today until I saw this, and then realized I knew nothing at all. Please watch it until the end and then write me your feelings.
May God watch over His people Israel.
