GAZA WAR DIARY: 29 SEPTEMBER 2024

The IDF Eliminates Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasrallah

It was in synagogue, just after the conclusion of morning prayers, when our Motti, our gabbai, in his announcements said casually: “I met someone this morning who asked me if we had a bomb shelter. I said yes and asked him why. He said that Israel bombed Lebanon extensively Friday night.”

And that was the first hint I got. On pins and needles all Shabbat, we were thunderstruck with joy when we opened our phones to read the exhilarating and blessed news that Hassan Nasrallah, that little Hitler in a turban, was finally dead, never to threaten or bully, or harm anyone again! Our country, filled with gratitude to God, thanked Him and our brilliant IDF for its amazing victory against evil.

Along with Nasrallah, who was at a gathering in a Hezbollah bunker beneath a tall apartment house in the center of Beirut in Da’hiyeh, were numerous other senior commanders: Ali Karaki, Hezbollah’s southern front commander, and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Gen. Abbas Nilforushan, the drek responsible for brutally putting down the brave Iranian protests against the despicable murder of 16 year-old Mahsa Amini, beaten to death for tying her headscarf on the wrong way.

Say thank you, Iranian opposition!

During Hassan Nasrallah’s 32 years as leader of Hezbollah, he was responsible for the murder of many Israeli civilians and soldiers. But let’s not forget this: the 241 Marines murdered in 1983 by a massive bomb in Beirut. The 1994 bombing of the AMIA Cultural Center in Buenos Aires, which butchered 85 innocent people. The 2012 Hezbollah bus bombing of young Israeli tourists at the port of Burgas, Bulgaria that left five dead and 32 injured.

But Hezbollah’s bloodiest campaign was reserved for Syria, where helped Bashar al-Assad in a vicious campaign in 2015 and 2016 that starved people in the ancient city of Allepo – taunting them with videos of feasts – and reducing most of it to rubble.

Nasrallah was the key decision-maker and the sole authority for all these savage attacks, and for the strategic and tactical decisions within the organization. While CNN and other outlets are now portraying him as a “moderate” and “family man” he was a vicious, ruthless butcher. Everyone in the world owes the Jewish people a great debt for ridding the world of this evil.

On October 8, Hezbollah, led by Nasrallah, joined the war against Israel. Since then, Hezbollah has continued its attacks against Israeli civilians, dragging Lebanon and the entire region into escalation.

IDF Spokesman: “The IDF will continue to target anyone involved in promoting or engaging in terrorism against Israeli citizens.”

Abu Ali: “Israel did a great favor to itself, but also to Lebanon, to the Middle East and to the entire world. This is the dawn of a new era in the Middle East. The great symbol, the braggart mouth, the most successful orator that the Shiite axis managed to produce – eliminated!”

Children in Syria thanking Israel!

Yesterday, the Lebanese MTV network reported from sources in the Ministry of Transportation and Public Works (held by Ali Hamieh, a Hezbollah minister) that Israel had taken over the broadcast frequency at the international airport in Beirut and prevented an Iranian plane from landing in the field, threatening force if they did not comply. The Lebanese Minister of Transport (a Hezbollah person) made the plane turn around and go home. There is now a military blockade on Lebanon. Israel is also attempting to use its navy to create a naval blockade of the Lebanese coastal waters to prevent Iranian resupply ships from docking.

New details on the elimination of Nasrallah

Minutes before Prime Minister Netanyahu climbed up to the podium at the UN to deliver his amazing speech which made us all so proud, no one could have guessed that he had just given the final approval for the attack which was to kill our arch terrorist enemy Nasrallah.

The commander in charge of military intelligence in the Lebanese division, gathered all the information that led to the successful killing of the Hezbollah secretary general and gave the final order to the armed fighter jets. Friday afternoon, the “golden information” was received about Nasrallah’s participation in a meeting in Da-hiyeh. Three hours before the attack, Netanyahu, Galant and Halevi held a three-way meeting and gave final approval for Operation New Order.

Lt. Colonel M. the Air Force commander of Squadron 69 explained: “We knew we had to be very precise, a once-in-a-lifetime operation.”

Thanks to precise intelligence planning, Air Force Intelligence knew the exact location of the building and the underground part of the structure. The challenge was to deliver a large quantity of munitions – 83 tons – to a very precise target and to know exactly where each bomb would hit. Each individual bomb falls in a very short period of time so that the impact is as instantaneous as possible. The entire process takes 10 seconds, and within 10 seconds, 83 tons of ammunition fell on the building.

“It’s a historic operation that went smoothly.” After the attack, he hugged his wife, whose family was evacuated from the north: “She understood where I came from.”

For those of you who missed it, here is the video of Nassrallah’s corpse being sprayed with perfume.

I would like to direct your attention to this passage we read this Shabbat’s Haftarah (Yoel 2, 20): “I will drive the Northerner away from you. I will banish them to a dry and desolate land….their foul smell shall ascend, their stench will rise, for they have done terrible things.”

I agree with these words of Abu Ali: “Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary General of Hezbollah, is not just another leader of a terrorist organization, and his elimination is not comparable to the killing of a high-ranking member of the military arm of Hamas or Hezbollah. His death is a huge earthquake in the Middle East and in the entire terror world, the extent of which is difficult to assess at present.

“For Hezbollah, it is an unprecedented loss, as the organization’s most important figure since its foundation is gone. It is also an unprecedented loss for Iran, as the most important agent outside Iranian borders, as well as a major blow for all terrorist organizations, who saw in Nasrallah the man who managed to defeat Israel and degrade it to a ‘spider’s web’ – until yesterday.”

As I write this, the question of whether Israel will be forced to conduct a multi-front war has been answered. According to the IDF spokesman our Air Force attacked targets of the Houthi terrorist regime in Yemen, 1,800 kilometers (1118 miles) from the Israel’s border. At the same time, our Air Force continued to attack the Hezbollah stronghold in Da’hiyah, Lebanon and terrorists in Gaza.

In today, Sunday’s, large-scale air operation against the Houthis, dozens of aircraft, including fighter jets, refueling and intelligence planes, under the direction of the intelligence wing, attacked military targets of the Houthi terrorist regime in the areas of Ras Issa and Hodeida in Yemen. The IDF attacked power plants and a seaport, which are used to import oil. Through the attacked infrastructures and ports, the Houthi regime transfers Iranian weapons to the region, and supplies for military needs, and thus also oil.

Israel has allowed the Houthis to launch three ballistic missiles at its population centers, only one of which caused death and injuries. The Houthi’s terror regime has been operating under the direction and funding of Iran and in cooperation with the Iraqi militias, in order to harm the State of Israel, undermine the regional order and disrupt global freedom of navigation.

It is clear that this attack against the Houthis is also a warning to Iran, which is not farther away from Israel than Hodeida, letting it know that Israel is capable of inflicting serious injuries on any country that attempts to harm the Israeli people.

We are very proud of our army, our leadership, and our steadfast friends and neighbors. We are very proud of our children and grandchildren who are fignting this war to bring the people of our country back home in safety.

But there is a price to pay.

My grandson, who spent months in Gaza blowing up tunnels, has been called back into his unit to fight in Lebanon. He leaves behind his young wife of one year, and his studies at the Weizmann Institute for his Master’s Degree.

If you are a Jew, please use this Rosh Hashanah to pray with all your heart that the God of Israel helps us to defeat our despicable enemies, allowing us to bring all our soldiers back home safely. If you are not Jewish, please pray for the same outcome to your own God.

The Jewish people lives.

As a person of no faith, who grew in a Judeo-Christian society, my values lead me to support Israel. I am an admirer of the Jews’ relentless will to survive and their contribution to humanity.

I mourn the loss of your brave soldiers who defend our freedoms. Even the freedoms of far away Australians.

Naomi, Bibi’s strong speech at the UN, followed by the elimination of Nasrallah, and others, is hopefully the beginning of the end for some of the terrorism that surrounds Israel.
The icing on the cake was the attack on the Houtis. Let’s all hope that this Rosh Hashanah is truly the best New Year for Jews the world over.
Finally, both your and my grandsons are engaged in the IDF. I pray for the safety of all of them. Shana Tova.
