A week of tragedy, of determination, of amazing success and progress. All of these things are mixed up together, like our emotions. To be an Israeli, or a lover of Israel, these days, is to walk the tightrope between endless despair and uplifting triumphs, which might be separated by two seconds, even less.
The death of two-week old Ravid Chaim Gez, the baby born after the tragic death of its mother in a terrorist attack, broke all our hearts. The photos of the brokenhearted father carrying his tiny son in a prayer shawl to burial is burned into our memories, along with the other Jewish babies murdered in the past year by our sick, hate-filled enemies. We mourn our losses, and continue to fight on.
There is no question that Israel is methodically, carefully, and vigilantly winning the war against Hamas in Gaza. The slow, careful, and ploddingly thorough onslaught by the IDF under its new commander General Eyal Zamir is a wonder to behold.
Trying to keep the risks to our troops at the minimum, Zamir is carefully wiping Gaza clean of Hamas. Foot by foot, house by house, hundreds of terrorists have been eliminated this week, hundreds of weapons caches were uncovered in almost every single house before they were turned to rubble by our forces; dozens of entrances to tunnels were uncovered under hospitals, mosques, schools and childrens’ bedrooms. But instead of quick, dangerous forays by our soldiers which caused so many casualties and left behind so much undone, this time they took minimal risks, and left nothing behind.
Seventy residential buildings, including numerous towers, in Gaza City, were demolished in 48 hours. This according to Palestinian sources. Way to go IDF!
The setup of aid distribution centers under the auspices of the American-run Gaza Humanitarian Foundation has also brought Hamas to the breaking point, cleverly denying the terrorists access to the freebies of massive aid shipments that were their lifeline to the cash and power they need to continue their dominance over Gaza.
Millions of food parcels have been successfully delivered to Gazans, who lined up en masse, ignoring Hamas’ calls for loyalty and to refuse aid unless it was filtered through them. When that didn’t work, Hamas created a fictional “crisis, sending out a fully prepared press release (less than thirty minutes after it allegedly transpired, proving it was obviously prepared before they say the event happened) alleging Israeli soldiers opened fire on waiting crowds, killing and injuring dozens.
This bare-faced lie was immediately picked up by the useful idiot international fake-news conspirators masquerading as news organizations. Except… except… Israel provided videos which showed, as we say in Hebrew, there “were no bears and no forest.” At the exact time they say this happened, the tape shows nothing happened at all. Ambassador Mick Huckabee has called on these media outlets to retract their false narratives, underlining that no one was shot or killed when waiting for aid, that the GHF Foundation has distributed more than 5 million food rations to Gazans without any unusual incidents.
The Gaza Humanitarian Fund (GHF) announced that it is preparing to open 4 additional distribution centers – including in northern Gaza.
At this stage, the distribution is not yet being carried out in an orderly manner with records of the recipients: “The foundation adapts its distribution model to conditions on the ground, crowd pressure, and safety considerations – to safely provide the maximum amount of assistance to the largest number of people.”
The reaction of EU countries like France, Spain and the UK to the terrible reality that the Jews might actually win this war against a terrorist organization (the same one that has infiltrated their own governments, apparently) is to hysterically back the call for the establishment of a Palestinian State.
Hot news flash: they can decide anything they want, but there is not going to be anywhere to put that State. One of the good things to come out of this horrible war, is that Israelis finally realize that the two-state solution is actually the Final Solution. Given this new understanding, the Israeli government has passed a law establishing 50 new settlements in Judea and Samaria, blocking off any attempt to settle terrorists at our borders. Unlike previous eras in Israel, in which such a move would have elicited huge Israeli left-wing protests, this time there was not a peep. Can it be that the Peace Nowers have finally grown up and gotten a badly needed infusion of reality? Or are they too busy undermining the IDF and lobbying for surrender at the moment?
Our dear friend, the remarkable US Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, was quick to let the French have it: “If you want a Palestinian state so much, give them part of the French Riviera for that.”
Thank you Mike! We love you and your boss!
Abu Ali adds: “If France opens its doors to the Gazans, not a single Gazan will remain in the Strip. Europe is a super popular destination for the Gazans. Furthermore, there are many colonies under French occupation around the world that can absorb Palestinians.”
Greta Thunberg, the mentally-challenged teenager who was going to save the planet but decided to save baby-killers instead, is on the flotilla headed for Gaza to bring them “aid.” As Senator Lindsey Graham just said: “Hope Greta and her friends can swim.”
Gee, I was hoping just the opposite!
