I cannot tell you with what joy we in Israel who understand what is going on in America are now living. Most Israelis are really clueless, the names of the new Cabinent members mean nothing to them. They are in for a great, joyous surprise. I’m so grateful I’m going to live to see this happen.

Despite the ongoing war, the election of Donald Trump and the appointment of such staunch life-long allies of Israel as Mike Huckabee (Ambassador to Israel), Marco Rubio (Foreign Secretary), Mike Waltz, Elise Stefanik, Mike Hegseth, Steven Witkoff… and on and on, makes me feel as if I’m standing in the Alamo and the cavalry is coming. It is truly a miraculous turn of events. I am so grateful to the wonderful, patriotic people of America who saw through the lies and hype and disgusting rhetoric and elected those who truly love America and Israel and will do their utmost to bring peace and prospertiy back to the lands of the free and homes of the brave.

It is understood that Amos Hochstein, the American envoy, presented Lebanon with a take-it-or-leave-it ceasefire proposal from the Netanyahu government which demands the complete dismantling of Hezbollah and its removal to beyond the Litani. The proposal comes with the threat of vastly increased attacks on Lebanon should the offer be turned down.

It doesn’t look like Lebanon is sane enough to accept. Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament and responsible on behalf of Hezbollah for managing the ceasefire negotiations, responded in an interview to the newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat: “The American proposal includes freedom of action for the Israeli army in Lebanon. Americans know this is unacceptable. The proposal includes the establishment of a committee of Western countries to oversee the implementation of Resolution 1701 – this is something that is unacceptable to Lebanon. There is already an existing mechanism and there is no obstacle to activating it. The work on the matter continues and the atmosphere is positive. We will soon submit a written response with comments to the American proposal.”

Israel has definitely increased the bombing of Lebanon this week.

In the continuing months-long effort of the “Northern Arrows” operation, the IDF has destroyed most of the missile production sites and munitions warehouses that Hezbollah had set up under Da’iyah over the last 20 years. These sites produced and stored hundreds of missiles and rockets of various types that were intended to cause deep damage to the State of Israel. They were systematically hidden under civilian buildings. Israel continues to attack Da’iyah over the past week, with greater intensity.

The IDF attacks in a targeted manner and makes great efforts to avoid harming those not involved. As part of this, advance warnings are made… It looks like Gaza, the Sequel. In the last few weeks, IDF reserve forces located a large cache of Hezbollah weapons in the village of Yarune in southern Lebanon. As part of the effort in the field to engage the enemy forces, the reserve soldiers used captured Hezbollah weapons: 60 mm mortars and a 12.7 mm “Dushka” heavy machine gun and fired at Hezbollah positions. Using their own weapons against them!

Israelis are concerned about the drop in the percentage of reservists showing up for duty. It went from over 100% at the beginning of the war to 75%. Some units are understaffed and placing ‘ads’ looking for volunteers. If the thousands of ultra-Orthodox did their share, this would be completely unnecessary. This is a bombshell that really has the power to tear our country apart if not handled correctly.

In the video, Alexander is seen to be lucid and in good health, considering the circumstances. It seems to me when I view videos and photos of the absolute wreckage of Gaza and Lebanon, that our enemies have more than failed. Their October 7 plan was to instill terror and get Israelis to run away and hand them our country. Instead, we sit here and they are running away. As I conduct my life as usual for the most part, I can’t imagine what they are doing in that wreckage. If it was me, I would have left Lebanon ASAP.

An example of how we live: We needed to get our vacuum cleaner fixed, so I called a few places and found a repair shop in Haifa. We packed it in the car, and then started the 30 minute drive. I checked my phone and saw that twenty minutes before, a rocket had exploded outside of Haifa. I told my husband.

“So, should we go back home?” he asked.

I thought about it. “Well, we really need that vacuum cleaner, and it doesn’t look like the situation is going to change in the near future…”

“Right…” he said, and kept driving. “But you should probably say the Traveler’s Prayer.” This is how we live. We got it fixed. We came home safely, but you can just imagine that ride…
