GAZA WAR DIARY: 12 JANUARY 2024

“They fell protecting the homeland in battles in the northern Gaza Strip, in a war for our existence and security. Their heroism and bravery will be etched in our hearts forever.”

So said our Prime Minister this week in the aftermath of the devastating loss of 10 IDF soldiers deployed against vicious terrorists in Northen Gaza.

And I ask why? Why are so many of our soldiers, at this late stage in the war, being killed by Hamas terrorists? The terrorists, who planted explosives and detonated them on our soldiers, should be dead already. But instead, they have been allowed to hide in “humanitarian” areas, to support themselves from the endless deliveries of goods demanded by the Biden administration. They have been allowed to live another day and kill our wonderful boys.

My grandson was called up for reserve duty last week along with the rest of his platoon. Why do they need you back? I asked him. Because there are hundreds of tunnels that remain in Gaza. There are thousands of Hamas terrorists still alive and armed.

This has to stop. Make the deal and rescue as many hostages as you can. And then finish them off. The people of Gaza who are complicit in everything that has happened to them cannot be coddled and protected any longer. No more humanitarian enclaves that embrace terrorists. Better that their children die for their sins, than our soldiers. Cut off all aid. Zero. Drop bunker bombs everywhere. And only when the stench of thousands of dead Hamas terrorists permeate the streets of Gaza from their underground lairs, send in the IDF with bulldozers. Enough. Enough.

Defense Minister Katz agrees, directing the military to submit a plan for the “complete defeat of Hamas in Gaza,” emphasizing that the plan will proceed if the terrorist group does not release the hostages by the time U.S. President-elect Donald Trump takes office. (It has to proceed anyway.) He asked the IDF to indicate what may make it difficult to implement the plan, including the humanitarian issue and other issues, and to leave it to the political echelon to make the necessary decisions. “I emphasized that the issue of a political solution for Gaza is irrelevant to the issue of the plan and the activity that is now required, because no Arab or other factor will take responsibility for managing civilian life in Gaza as long as Hamas is not completely crushed.

I noted that IDF commanders and regular and reserve soldiers are waging a heroic war and are doing an amazing job, but at the same time, we must change the method of operation in order to eliminate Hamas and end the war in Gaza.”

Exactly.

As for those ridiculous Houthis, those clowns, their day is also coming. Since the start of the war, the IDF has intercepted over 40 surface to air ballistic missiles and hundreds of UAVs from Yemen. The Houthis, who consider themselves a very important proxy to their equally clownish and barbaric Iranian masters, haven’t accomplished anything. The missiles were intercepted or fell in open areas. But they did manage to keep a large portion of Israel from getting a good night’s sleep because of bomb sirens.

This Friday, Israel attacked the Houthis right in the middle of their weekly crazed anti-Israel rally in their capital. According to an IDF spokesman: “Air Force fighter jets under the direction of Intelligence and Navy, attacked the Houthi terrorist regime in the western coastal strip and deep inside Yemen.

Among the targets attacked were the Hizaz power plant, which is the central electrical infrastructure of the Houthi terrorist regime; and the ports of Ras Issa and Hudaydah on the western coastal strip in Yemen. “The targets attacked illustrate the military use that the Houthi terrorist regime is making of civilian infrastructure.”

Two days after the announcement of the definitive identification of the body of kidnapped Bedouin Youssef al-Ziyadne, the IDF spokesperson announced that the body of his kidnapped son, Hamza, was also recovered from a tunnel in Gaza. Youssef, a father of 19, and Hamza were kidnapped along with another two of Youssef’s children, Bilal, 18, and Aisha, 17, while working in the cowshed at Kibbutz Holit near the Gaza border. Bilal and Aisha were released on November 30, 2023, after more than 50 days in Hamas captivity. Until Tuesday, Youssef and Hamza were presumed alive. The cause of death was still under investigation by the IDF, though according to initial assessments, it wasn’t recent. Hamas kills Muslims too.

You know, when this war started on October 7, I thought: It is so hard, but we will win and our country and our lives will go back to the way it was before.

And now, I am wiser. Like an earthquake changes the landscape, and a tsunami destroys the coastline, there is no going back. We in Israel live in a new reality, a new landscape, a ravaged coastline. Within that new reality, we will rebuild our country, and plan our future. But we, and our country, will never go back to the way we were prior to October 7. That open-hearted, open-handed goodness and generosity that allowed us to employ Gazans, and ferry them to cancer treatments in our hospitals, that’s gone forever. The “two-state solution” is dead forever. The Peace Now Israeli is a quaint reminder of another era, a crumbling antique, a souvenir of another time and place, product of naivete, false hopes, and tragic misunderstandings.

We are just now beginning to learn how to live in this new reality. It will be very hard, and many, like Lot’s wife, will be looking back over their shoulders longingly at the comfortable, familiar reality that rose up to bite us, a pussy cat turned poisonous snake.

We are not alone in stepping reluctantly over this new threshold. We look at the West and see not immigration – legal and illegal–  but an invasion; barbarian hordes bringing their sick, misogynistic culture with them. We look at how the “liberals” of Great Britain have handed little British school girls to gangs of Pakistani men in their forties and fifties, refusing to protect them from horrific abuse in the name of multiculturalism, and we are sickened. There never was a multiculture. All along, it was always just Islam and its sick values overtaking and dominating the civilized values of the West. We pray the whole world will step with us into this new landscape and save themselves. We pray for our beautiful little country – so brave, so smart, so good – and its courageous young sons and daughters. I pray for my grandchildren.

And wait patiently for Trump to take over and lead the way forward.

Wow Naomi– so true. We can’t look back. But we can be strong. Also true that Hamas must be completely eliminated. The sane among us feel Trump will end the hostage situation. We pray that they are still alive.
One last thing…we should stop saying “two-state solution”. Israel is already a State. The proposal is a Palestinian state solution and should be called that every single time.

    death to all muslims worldwide
their so called relogion is nothing more than a terrorist cult.

So sad to lose so many of our soldiers we here in Florida will pray for them

Trump does only things that he feels will benefit him (more power, more money, more fame). He has no morals, no belief structure (like a religion), and no purpose except to benefit himself, his family and close (rich) supporters. Do not believe anything that he says he will do–he changes his mind on a whim. He is more likely to support rich Muslim countries than Israel…

    • Hava

He has his own money, doesn’t depend on anybody. You can’t buy him. Unless
you put up some billions and still…

WRONG Allen–stop listening to -only–CNN and MSNBC. What about the Abraham Accords? What about Biden withholding APPROVED military equipment to Israel?
Trump has been very consistent –in 2016 he said stop illegal immigration; lower taxes, build the economy, stop inner city crime and violence. Biden took bribes, gave favors and pardoned criminals, killers etc. Hava is correct–no one can buy Trump. He is a patriot who loves America and wants to save it from power-hungry radical liberals.

Quite so, LIz. If President Trump was only interested in himself, then he wouldn’t have run for office in the first place, and he certainly wouldn’t have done so on the platform he did – twice! He’d be living the life of riley in Florida, playing golf every day and building luxury hotels, without a care in the world. He has sacrificed much of his fortune, his safety, his health, and almost his life, to try and make the world a better place – all these people who are repeating the lies of the dinosaur media need to fight off the TDS that’s infected their minds, and wake up to what’s really happening in the world today.

I wish I could share your optimism once President Trump assumes the Presidency. However, I am not convinced that he will give Israel the “green light” to finish off Hamas indiscriminately. He’ll have too much pressure from world leaders and from the Left here in the US, including many Jews, to go easy on them. It is only with true, unadulterated Jewish leadership with Melech HaMashiach that we can finally get rid of this problem.

    • Larry Tauber

And yet polls show that if elections were held today, Israelis would elect a leftist government whose parties have always favored and apparently still favor creation of a Palestinian state. How is this so?

    • Hava

Jews are like everybody else. Some vote with their heads. Others with their feet.

I share Naomi’s optimism. Biden and/or Kamala would have given “the green light”?
Trump is for Israel and the Jews. But he’s not a dictator whatever the Left insinuate.

Defeat them and destroy them 100% . They must admit defeat and surrender.
