A senior international official involved in the hostage negotiations, speaking at the high level MEAD (Middle East American Dialogue) conference, spills the truth about Hamas’ total responsibility for the lack of progress in the hostage deal:
“We were never in the position that Hamas said yes and Israel had to be mobilized.
We were never in a position where Hamas said “if you do this there will be a deal.”
There were times when perhaps Israel could have done a little more, but the pressure is on Hamas and should be on it. Hamas wants the pressure to be on Israel.
If Hamas gets power in Gaza, it will not work. I understand the argument that if we prevent Israel from getting arms there will be a deal. I tell you that if we do that, there will never be a deal. Israel included conditions that Hamas wanted. It is not that Israel sat on its hands in the face of Hamas demands. Hamas is responsible.
I talked about it with Netanyahu several times, but the focus is on Hamas.
If they agree to release hostages according to the plan, there will be an agreement.”
Once again senior Hamas terrorists used a humanitarian area for a command and control center. Israel pinpointed the group hiding in Khan Yunis, including the head of the Hamas air force. IDF: “In a joint operation by the IDF and Shin Bet forces, the fighters of the 401st Brigade identified several terrorist squads by using drones. The forces directed aircraft that eliminated the terrorists. In the attack, the commander of the Tel Sultan battalion, Mahmoud Hamdan, and three other company commanders from the battalion were killed. In the attack and other attacks, the chain of command of the Tel Sultan battalion was eliminated, as well as dozens of other terrorists from the battalion.
“The commander of the Tel Sultan battalion, Mahmoud Hamdan, took a significant part in planning the raid into Israel on October 7 and promoted the preparation plan of the Rafah Brigade before the entry of IDF forces into the area. In addition, he initiated, led and planned dozens of terrorist plots against the IDF forces and the State of Israel. The terrorists who were eliminated were directly involved in the October 7 massacre.”
Israel did not bomb indiscriminantely, but with precision, and Gazans in tents were warned to evacuate. Now the “Hamas Ministry of Lying Scum” has once again inflated the numbers of dead. They can only come up with twelve names, yet say forty were killed, of course “all innocent civilians.” Who’s buying it? The usual suspects: BBC, Guardian, U.N., Al Jazeerah. How many times will Hamas try this tired scenario? I guess as long as it still works. I congratulate the IDF on putting more October 7 barbarians six feet under. Keep going!
In continuation of yesterday’s story about a van full of illegal Fakestinians enroute to a city in central Israel who were picked up by police on Highway 6, there may not have been weapons in the van, but at least one of the people arrested was on his way to a safehouse where two accomplices had a weapons cache and were planning a joint bombing of Israeli civilians. The accomplices were also arrested. Good work, Israel Police and IDF. Thank you, God.
A cartoon created during the Gilad Shalit protests seems just as relevant today Same story. Same villains. Same Israeli idiots begging to surrender.
The American-Turkish activist, Aysenur Eygi, who got herself shot in Judea and Samaria while volunteering with the International Solidarity Movement (ISM), the same pro-Palestinian activist group as Rachel Corrie, a virulently anti-Israel US citizen killed in 2003 while trying to block an Israeli bulldozer from razing terrorists’ homes in Gaza. Similarly, Eygi managed to get in the middle of a violent protest against the IDF in the West Bank, where tires were set on fire. In the melee, which as a college graduate she should have had the sense to avoid, she got herself shot. Great sympathy is being expended on her fate. I have no idea why. Go to dangerous places, join hate groups, and there might be unfortunate consequences. No one was aiming for her, the IDF investigation points out. Most likely, she was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Next President of the US (God forbid!) speaking at a White House reception in March 2023 to mark Women’s History Month, something she should know a little about, being a woman, had this to say: “So, during Women’s History Month, we celebrate and we honour the women who made history throughout history, who saw what could be unburdened by what had been,” she told her puzzled audience.
Imagine what she’ll come up about topics on which she is totally clueless, like immigration, foreign affairs, the economy, the Israeli-Fakestinian conflict etc. etc.? Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea must she rubbing their hands in glee at the prospect of her being America’s next leader. First Democrats foisted a corrupt, senile old man on the unsuspecting public. Now they are boosting a spectacularly incompetent, barely coherent woman with zero track record despite years in public service. I hope Americans take pity on themselves and vote for Trump. He, at least, has a command of the issues, not to mention all his faculties. And spare me the “character” issues. Kamala slept her way to the top. She’s not a role model for any woman.
