The truth is, we in Israel should be happy – as happy as we can be with three hostages still missing. Things are actually going excellently. Today alone, Israel bombed the secret apartment in the center of Beirut in which Ali Tabatabai, Hezbollah Chief of Staff, was hiding, turning him to dust. Tabatabai was reportedly planning a series of terror attacks from Lebanon to Israel and was behind the recent push to strengthen and activate Hezbollah forces to new, murderous activity. There was a US bounty of 5 million dollars on his head. I hope they make the check out to the IDF.
In Gaza, the IDF responded to a ceasefire violation and terrorist attack against our troops by Khalil Ali Naji from Deir al-Balah in the center of the Strip with targeted eliminations of terrorists, including the head of supply in Hamas’ production headquarters. Hamas is claiming 29 casualties. In addition, Hamas now has to deal with no less than five different anti-Hamas militias up and running, all of them based inside the yellow line and under IDF protection. From their bases, they go out even beyond the yellow line to attack Hamas forces. It is hoped that this is undermining Hamas rule. But it’s hard to know with these people. They aren’t like the rest of us, their brain cells warped by so much hate and so much propaganda, they are really capable of anything, no matter the danger.
And this is the problem. How does a little, brave, civilized country of 11 million fight billions of these sick monsters? Israel Today reports that Iran is rebuilding at a rapid pace and has already restored most of its missile arsenal and is on track to reach pre-Operation Rising Lion levels within months. Their lesson from the June war is to go deeper underground and overwhelm Israel with mass launches: more volume less accuracy.
Never mind that their people have no water to drink and are going to die of thirst and they are even considering evacuating Teheran! What can you do with such idiots? Israel’s Defense Minister isn’t worried: “Rising Lion was only a preview,” he says.
But despite the fact that we won and continue to win, Israeli boots smashing the watermelons, I can’t help but wonder what the end game is going to be. You read social media, and every post of every hostage describing in heartbreaking detail the tortures they suffered, yet responses are 95% in the category of: “all lies,” or “you had it coming.” How are we supposed to live in this kind of a world?
Danny Danon, Israel’s UN Representative, pointed out the reprehensible record of that hypocritical terror-supporting body in denying Hamas’ sex crimes after freed hostage Guy Gilboa-Dalal revealed the abuse he suffered. “At the UN,” Danon said, “there are still delusional people like Reem Alsalem, the special rapporteur on sexual violence in conflict , who dare to continue lying about the sexual assaults committed by Hamas terrorists on Oct. 7. Such denial is contempt for the victims and a serious violation of their rights. Shame!”
But each time I get to that moment of despair, I remember how I felt during the Intifada when buses and bar mitzvahs were blowing up; when a bride and her father got murdered a day before her wedding. Then too, in 2001-2, despite these outrages, people felt Israel had it coming, and there was no way to convince them that they were believing lies. But then something happened which completely changed the narrative: 9/11.
Something is going to happen to change this narrative. I don’t believe the Muslim Brotherhood is going to spread its hate forever and create its Caliphate, no matter how stupid Europe and Canada are, because there is a God, and that is not His plan. But I admit I’m stumped at how it’s going to happen.
But I got a little insight into the way to reverse the college campus hate machine from a very interesting interview on the Free Press with a Stanford pre-med student who had been all-in, joining pro-Pali campus demonstrations. Her eyes were opened when they started destroying campus buildings. And then she went to LA to see an exhibit about the slaughter at the Nova Festival and realized just how little she knew about October 7. She admitted that she didn’t even know that Israel had left Gaza in 2005. She thought the IDF was still there “oppressing” the poor Palestinians. And then she got invited to visit Israel. When she came back, she lost her friends, and joined Hillel (she is African American and not Jewish). This gives me some hope.
IDF Spokesperson: Earlier today (Saturday), IDF troops operating in the Rafah area conducted scans and identified three terrorists. The troops fired at them and eliminated them. It is likely that these are the terrorists who exited the underground terror infrastructure yesterday in eastern Rafah and then attempted to hide. In two separate incidents in northern Gaza, IDF troops identified four terrorists who crossed the yellow line and advanced toward IDF troops, posing an immediate threat to them.
The troops, in cooperation with the IAF, fired to remove the threat and eliminated two of the terrorists.
Yes, those tunnels are emptying out…
Israelis demonstrating in “hostage square” are in love with Steve Witkoff, holding signs urging him to make Aliyah and run for Prime Minister. Listen guys, we can’t compete with Florida’s golf courses. And he wouldn’t be better than BiBi.
Just saying…
