An Observant Wife

My new book, An Observant Wife, which is a sequel to An Unorthodox Match will be published on September 14th.

Here's a comment by an early reader:
"Long before Shtisel and Unorthodox reached television screens, Naomi Ragen had already pointed the way, in five knowledgeable and sensitive novels, to the rich literary potential of this largely unexplored cultural territory, especially as it affects women. Her latest novel, An Observant Wife, is not only a sequel to An Unorthodox Match, but a stunning conclusion to her decades-long journey through this unique landscape."

It’s the first sequel I’ve ever written, and it continues the love story between newly observant California girl Leah and ultra-Orthodox widower Jacob.

Hi Naomi! Your books resonate within me like no other. The Peter Decker and Rina Lazarus series is another favorite of mine that I started reading many years ago before my revelation. Your books take on a more realistic view of the people, and I thank you for this. After being raised for over 6o years as Italian/Catholic/English/German, I came to find out a few years ago through 23 and Me, that I’m actually over 50% Ashkenazi Jewish! I’ve always been drawn to the religion and even married a Jewish man. I love to read about the culture and way of life. I hope to be reading your novels for many more years to come.

The reader’s comment implies that this is your last book on this topic. Is that true? I have read so many of your books and always look forward to your new ones.
